Not much to report from the wheat team – the quality analyses we carry out over winter are now complete and the trials have been tidied up by spraying out neat plot ends and pathways. The rest of the country seems to be talking about yellow rust but it has yet to settle over here in North Oxfordshire. However, we are seeing quite a bit of septoria with some resistant varieties clearly standing out (Theodore!). Essentially, the wheat team is waiting impatiently for the wheat to really get going before we begin walking the plots and taking our notes!
