“September is our busiest month of the year as we quickly analyse all of the samples that came in from the field.
After selections have been made, the bags of ears, bags of seed and whole plants must be separated into various lots and sent around the country. These separated seedlots will then make up the yield plots, disease observation plots and quality strips around the country.
The team has been working long hours and weekends to try to keep up with the work. We are all looking forward to when the wheat plots are back in the soil when we can take a rest!”
