Status: AHDB Candidate List 2022/23

OXFORD is a textbook choice of variety for farmers, which is NEW to the 2022/23 Candidate List. OXFORD is high yielding hard feed wheat (Group 4) and which provides growers a strong disease resistance package and a high protein content, with proven parentage from the same lines as the new Recommended List topping CHAMPION.


OXFORD has shown high yields in trials, particularly in the West of the UK (105%) and has demonstrated a strong untreated yield at 86% with a high Hagberg Falling Number (201). This variety shows a strong resistance to lodging in both treated and untreated plots standing at 84.6 cm.

OXFORD offers growers orange wheat blossom midge resistance and DSV’s unique genetics which provide robust resistance to Septoria (6), Mildew (6) and, in particular, yellow rust (8).

With high performance in all key areas, OXFORD boasts a high yield as well as a robust agronomic package with strong disease resistance and grain quality, making it top choice for farmers this season.
