DAKTARI has been fast tracked to the UK market due to its exceptional autumn vigour. DAKTARI has performed well across Europe and the whole of the UK in a variety of conditions, proving it is a very robust variety. Its parents having been particularly adapted to the UK climate and growing conditions. DAKTARI is currently the highest yielding variety in Germany with a very high yield. It is expected to take a significant market share this autumn.
DAKTARI is our breeders pick for growing in all conditions, features of particular note are its outstanding autumn vigour, Turnip Yellow Virus (TuYV) resistance and pod flexibility ensuring high threshing potential. DAKTARI adds to DSV’s current portfolio of reliable, simple to grow, high output oilseed rape varieties especially developed for the current economic and environmental climate.
DAKTARI also has high resistance to light leaf spot with a score of 6 making it an agronomist-friendly variety well suited to integrated crop management systems. Rapid development of new leaves is one this variety’s key attributes. DAKTARI has strong spring vigour and grows away quickly as the days start to get longer.
In addition to stand-out disease resistance characteristics, DAKTARI holds its own in Gross Output comparisons with a score of 111%, a Seed Yield of 110% and excellent Oil Content of 46.8%. It has a medium score for flowering and maturity.
